The Omnipresence Lie
You're posting on Instagram. You're posting on Facebook. LinkedIn feels important. So you do a little of everything, and you're nailing none of it. That's the lie you've been sold.

You’re posting on Instagram. You’re posting on Facebook. You’ve got a YouTube channel with six videos from 2022. You “should be doing more on TikTok.” LinkedIn feels important. And somewhere in the back of your mind, you know you need to start that podcast.
So you do a little of everything.
And you’re nailing none of it.
THIS IS THE LIE YOU’VE BEEN SOLD
Be omnipresent. Be everywhere. The more platforms, the more visibility, the more business.
Sounds logical. It’s also dead wrong.
Here’s what omnipresence actually gets you: five platforms at 20%. Five audiences who barely know you exist. Five content calendars that drain your energy and produce nothing.
You’re not building a brand. You’re spreading yourself so thin you’ve become invisible.
They’re not posting more than you. They’re not smarter than you. They just stopped pretending they could be everywhere and decided to dominate somewhere.
While you’re dabbling on five platforms, they own one. And when someone in their world says “I need an agent”. There’s only one name. Theirs.
WHY DON’T MORE AGENTS DO THIS?
Fear.
Fear of missing the lead who’s on TikTok while you’re on Instagram. Fear of picking wrong. Fear that if you’re not everywhere, you’re nowhere.
So you stay everywhere. And you stay invisible.
Here’s what fear won’t tell you: the agent who masters one platform will outproduce the agent who dabbles on five. Every single time.
HOW TO PICK YOUR ONE
This isn’t complicated. Three questions:
1. Where are your people? Not where the trends are. Where is your actual sphere. Past clients, friends, family, referral partners. Spending their time? That’s your platform. If they’re on Facebook and you’re grinding TikTok, you’re performing for strangers.
2. What fits you? Hate being on camera? Stop torturing yourself with YouTube. Love DMs and conversation? Instagram might be your edge. Pick the platform that feels like you when you’re at your best.
3. Can you show up for two years? Not two months. Two years. Because consistency destroys intensity. The platform you can sustain beats the platform you burn out on.
Pick one. Forget the rest.
THE 1-50-20-3 RULE
This is the system I teach every agent I coach. It took our clients from chasing likes to booking 3-5 referral conversations a week.
Stop thinking about content. Start thinking about connection.
Here’s the daily playbook on Instagram:
1 post per day. Not to go viral. To stay visible. You’re not chasing the algorithm. You’re staying in front of the people who already know you.
50 engagements. Likes. Comments. Story replies. On their content, not yours. Most agents just broadcast and wonder why nobody responds. Social media is social. Act like it.
20 DMs. Not pitches. Conversations. Reply to a story. Follow up on a comment. “Thanks for the follow. What caught your attention?” This is where followers become relationships.
3 real conversations. This is the point of everything else. Three actual back-and-forth exchanges every day where you’re not a logo. You’re a person.
THE MATH IS SIMPLE
A thousand real conversations a year compounds. Referrals come. Deals come. And you didn’t burn out trying to be everywhere.
You just mastered one room.
HERE’S YOUR PERMISSION SLIP
Delete the apps that drain you. Abandon the platforms you dread. Stop half-assing five things.
Master one.
The agents who win aren’t everywhere. They’re somewhere. So deep and so consistent they’re impossible to ignore.
Omnipresence is a lie. Presence is the goal.
